Job Description:
Evaluates and qualifies potential suppliers via site visits, audits, and supplier surveys.
Supports efforts to qualify new suppliers through quality audits in conjunction with Purchasing
and Engineering.
Manages multiple suppliers and new product programs coming from suppliers, with primary focus
but not limited to the Forward Lighting Program.
Works with vendors to ensure that supplied parts related to existing developed products-processes-tooling
consistently meets specified requirements.
Audits materials and components purchased from vendors and subcontractors.
Troubleshoot and resolve existing or new quality issues that may arise during pre-production/production.
Educate suppliers on Truck-Lite, customer and industrial quality requirements to ensure compliance
with PPM, ratings, etc.
Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes, products and materials.
Reviews and approves Supplier Production Part Approval Process (PPAP’s)
Inspects product at supplier during development, runoffs or during audits.
Resolves all quality issues regarding products, processes and tooling.
Responsible for proper evaluation and approval of supplier corrective action and continuous improvements.
Communicate and troubleshoot quality issues.
Ability and understanding of APQP and ISO/TS16949, strong print and GDT knowledge.
Extensive travel to suppliers and sub-suppliers, both domestic and overseas.
Position will support the Quality Department as needed.
Position requires compliance with the Technology Control Plan and the Federal
Control Policy established for the Corporation.

Qualifications:
College education, preferably Engineering fields or extensive experience in Quality Assurance
with auditing skills. Solid Quality and Engineering experience and proven Quality background.
Must have Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint knowledge/experience and have good oral and written
communication skills, and the ability to interact with employees within all levels of the organization
both internally and externally.
