Sr. Programmer Analyst/AS400 Developer

Lead highly visible projects across several lines of business and across a wide range of stakeholders and user base.

Manage issues, scope, timeline, risk, and/or budget within each project.

Coordinate technical architecture changes with the CNC team to ensure cross functional testing and knowledge of system impact

Provide guidance and planning for application and tools release upgrades

Prioritize workload across the team, handle multiple large-scale projects, and adhere to project schedules.

Analyze business requirements specifications, translate business requirements into functional specifications, and write and maintain technical specifications according to functional specifications.

Build application software in line with technical specifications.

Create implementation plans and manage implementations.

Follow specified procedures throughout software life cycle using F&O workflow tools

Work closely with other client application teams and business groups.

Work closely with global teams.

Assist members of the JDE team in debugging/troubleshooting program issues.

Develop, code and test JDE deliverables according to the JDE best practices.

Record/document information within our knowledge database.

Communicate effectively with business users, sponsors and other AD teams.

Requires regular travel to Business/Plant locations

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of a 4-year college undergraduate degree plus 7-10 years of related experience

Minimum of 10-15 years of experience working within a manufacturing/distribution organization and with iSeries (AS400, System/ ISeries) and J. D. Edwards Enterprise One E9.0 to 9.2 - B7.3, Sterling Integrator

J.D. Edwards OW Tool Kit - Forms Design, Enterprise Report Writer, UBE, \World Writer), JDE-SVR, JAS (Web Server), Interoperability, XPI - webMethods 6, RPG IV, RPG/400, CL, SQL, COBOL Java, and MS Office Suite

Functional Skills in the following JDE Modules Distribution Suite - Inventory Management/ WMS, Sales Order Management, Advanced Pricing, Procurement, Purchasing, Finance-General Accounting, A/R, A/P, , Manufacturing; Equipment/Plant Management, CRP/DRP/MRP/MPS, Forecasting, Work Orders, Production Planning, Scheduling.  Experience of full software development project life cycle

Strong knowledge of JD Edwards applications functionality, with a focus on Financials, Order to Cash, and Procure to Pay processes.

Extensive knowledge of OS400, CL, RPG (including IV and Free-Format ), ILE, MQ Series, SQL

Able to link business needs to technical solutions.

Capable of managing the implementation of solutions to complex problems independently.

Proven track record for delivering multiple concurrent tasks end-to-end to meet project deadlines

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Understanding of problem management methodologies

Troubleshooting skills to effectively isolate application issues vs. other issues, and provide initial troubleshooting on JD Edwards’s application functionality issues with the user community and other IT teams supporting JD Edwards
