Plastic Injection Molding Experience Requirements

Process development and optimization using scientific molding principles

Specifying new injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment

Automotive and cosmetic parts

Optical Grade and Engineered Materials

Material Handling systems both bulk and batch

Plastic Material Drying systems

Secondary Equipment such as Robots, Conveyors, Part Separators, etc

Secondary Processing vacuum metalizing and coating

Statistical  Tools / Six Sigma Training

Working knowledge of APQP tools & techniques (Process flow, PFMEA, Control Plans)……i.e. data driven is a must

Router and quote development for molded products (both cycle time and equipment)

Responsibilities / Job Duties

Work with Tooling & Product Design Engineers on new and existing products and molds

Determine and implement continuous improvement and cost reduction projects

Identify plastic molding, auxiliary equipment, and secondary processing required

Act as manufacturing representative on cross functional New Product Implementation Teams

Lead corrective action teams

Determine, implement, and update PM programs for new and existing processing equipment

Create and update manufacturing process documentation

Work with Quality Engineers and Manufacturing management team on quality improvements

Prepare capital funding requests as required



4-year degree;  Plastics Engineering degree is preferred with demonstrated Scientific Molding Experience

MS Office products, RJG eDART system
