2nd SHIFT - 2:45 PM TO 11:00 PM
Performs and oversees the following:
Runs Query and reports in accordance with shipping activities, such as un-approved routing letters, shipping history, daily shipping activity, etc. Prepares and oversees preparation of all documentation pertaining to out-going shipments. Includes bill of lading, shipment manifest, Way bills, export documents, Proforma invoice, Commercial Invoice, etc. Central contact for out-bound carriers at McElhattan. Schedules carriers, and provides assistance to carriers for any problem resolution. Maintains all necessary shipping documentation and records. Shippers Export of Declaration. Tracks movement of shipments assisting customer service. Enters shipping information to several customer required web-based logistics sites. Monitors logistics site for shipping instructions.
May be required to perform shipping tasks within other classification to assist in plant operations.
Persons in this job must be able to sit and/or stand all day (up to 10 hours), manually lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull containers or assemblies which may weigh up to several hundred pounds (either on dollies or on edge-not dead weight) rotate to various assignments involving various working conditions within their job description, perform high and low repetition jobs, perform all aspects of their job, perform fine manipulations, firm grasping (up to 25 pounds of pressure periodically) and be able to use hand tools including but not limited to utility knifes, wire cutters, manual operated levers and presses, tape dispensers etc., manually push, pull and bend wire and cable, assemble parts as required and work through a range of motions from ground up to and including above shoulder height, bend and twist from the waist. Requires good communication, working knowledge of transportation function as related to documentation, steady mental concentration. Thorough knowledge of shipping systems as used by McElhattan. Steady medium physical and occasional heavy lifting when doing secondary task.
High School or G.E.D. Certification.
